About us

A capability assessment service, not a chatbot.

FORCE is an analysis and consulting service built on an established pipeline with a fixed methodology. It reads what you release and reports what it supports.

01

Our ethos

Two commitments shape everything else, and both of them narrow what we will do rather than widen it.

We report what your documents establish. We do not tell you what to do about it, and we do not reach for a source you did not release in order to fill a gap. Where the set is silent, the assessment says so and leaves the cell empty.

  • No recommendation for action

An assessment establishes what the set supports. Judging that, and deciding on it, stays with you — because the decision needs context that an analysis of documents does not have.

  • Only your sources

Nothing is topped up from open sources and no gap is filled by inference. The assessment is a statement about your document set, not about the world.

02

Our heritage

FORCE began as a manual method. An analyst reads a defence publication, marks the relevant passages, assigns each to a combat function, then compares every extracted topic against every other one to work out what matters most. The output was a spreadsheet, and the method was sound.

What it could not do was scale. A set of several hundred documents takes months to work through by hand, and by the time the comparison is finished the question that prompted it has usually been settled another way.

03

Our model

Three steps on your side of the table.

  1. Step 1

    Send the source data

The documents you are willing to release, as PDF, DOCX or plain text. Scanned pages are handled.

    Released document setInput
    • AJP-01
      Allied Joint Doctrine
      NATO · 2022
      PDF
    • JP 3-0
      Joint Campaigns and Operations
      USA · 2022
      PDF
    • AJP-3.20
      Cyberspace Operations
      NATO · 2020
      PDF
    • SIPOL 2026
      Sicherheitspolitische Strategie 2026
      CH · 2026
      DOCX
+ 146 further documents from 33 countries and NATO
  2. Step 2

    Analysis by FORCE

Every relevant passage is extracted, classified by combat function, labelled capability or enabler, and ranked.

    One extracted passageExample

… formations must be able to detect, identify and track low-signature aerial targets at extended range, supported by a networked sensor architecture with sub-second cueing. …

    • Capability · ISR
    • Enabler · ISR
    • Doc 12 · chars 4470–4612
  3. Step 3

    Receive the result

Within five working days: a complete summary, an interactive HTML document and the capability map — every statement traceable to its source.

    Findings, rankedExample
    • High relevance

Detect and track low-signature aerial targets
      Capability
      ISR · 4 sources
    • Networked sensor architecture, sub-second latency
      Enabler
      ISR · 2 sources
    • Extended-range precision engagement
      Capability
      Fires · 3 sources
    • Medium relevance

      Assured tactical communications under jamming
      Enabler
      C2 · 1 source
    • Forward repair and recovery at reach
      Capability
      Logistics · 2 sources
  • FORCE is based on an established analysis pipeline with a clearly defined, standardised methodology.

  • FORCE is not a chatbot but a professional analysis and consulting service.

  • FORCE requires neither the installation of additional software nor new hardware.

Inside the analysis

Six steps on the analysis side, run in order, the same way every time. Each is auditable after the fact: the intermediate output of every stage ships with the assessment.

  • Read and screen

Documents are loaded — PDF, DOCX or plain text, with optical character recognition for scanned pages — and screened before anything else runs.

  • Extract passages

Relevant passages are pulled out per combat function, overlapping extracts merged, and each surviving passage keeps its position in the source document.

  • Classify

Each passage is assigned to one of the six combat functions and labelled either a capability or an enabler.

  • Group into topics

Passages are clustered into single-concept topics within each combat function, and a further pass splits any cluster that turns out to carry more than one idea.

  • Summarise

Every passage gets a short description, concrete examples and the reason it matters, so a finding can be read without opening the source.

  • Rank and report

Topics are compared against each other, findings are consolidated into tiers from the agreed standpoint, and the brief, workbook and dashboard are generated.

The eight pipeline stages behind those six steps, the check each one carries, the verification every extracted passage has to pass and the weights behind the relevance tiers are set out in full on the methodology page.

One step

Send us the question, not the documents.

Describe the decision that has to be taken and roughly what you could release. Within two working days you get an assessment of what an analysis could and could not establish.
